The Evident Vanta GX-LTS XRF Analyzer is a premium benchtop XRF analyzer designed for fast, high-precision analysis of gold, jewelry, silver, platinum, palladium, coins, and other precious metals. Built for precious metal businesses that require higher throughput and the ability to analyze small or complex jewelry, the Vanta GX-LTS combines a powerful 4-watt X-ray tube, high-resolution silicon drift detector (SDD), and three selectable analysis spot sizes.
With 9 mm, 3 mm, and 1 mm XRF spot sizes, the Vanta GX-LTS enables operators to analyze both larger precious-metal items and small, targeted areas that can be difficult to measure with a conventional XRF spot. The system provides fast, nondestructive elemental analysis without damaging valuable jewelry, coins, or precious-metal items.
Premium Benchtop XRF for Precious Metal Analysis
The Vanta GX-LTS is the premium model in Evident's current Vanta GX benchtop XRF series. It is designed for businesses requiring higher precision, shorter test times, higher testing throughput, and greater flexibility when analyzing complex jewelry.
The GX-LTS features a 4-watt X-ray tube operating up to 40 kV and 200 µA, a tungsten (W) anode, and a thermoelectrically cooled high-resolution silicon drift detector.
Most importantly, the GX-LTS provides three selectable measurement spot sizes: 9 mm, 3 mm, and 1 mm.
Analyze Small and Complex Jewelry
Fine-spot XRF analysis is one of the primary advantages of the Vanta GX-LTS.
The standard 9 mm spot provides efficient analysis of larger, relatively uniform areas. When the measurement area becomes smaller, operators can select the 3 mm or 1 mm spot to target a more specific portion of the item.
This capability makes the GX-LTS particularly well suited to analyzing complex jewelry and small features where a conventional measurement spot could overlap adjacent materials. Evident specifically identifies the GX-LTS as its model for high-throughput analysis that includes complex jewelry.
Gold, Jewelry and Precious Metal Testing
The Vanta GX-LTS provides fast elemental analysis for a wide range of precious-metal applications, including:
- Gold jewelry and scrap gold
- Rings, necklaces, bracelets and other jewelry
- Small and complex jewelry features
- Silver and sterling silver
- Platinum
- Palladium
- Coins and bullion
- Precious-metal scrap
- Precious-metal buying and selling
- Jewelry authentication
- Gold plating detection
- Lead and cadmium screening in jewelry
The Vanta GX determines the purity of gold, silver, platinum, palladium, and other precious metals in seconds and can provide immediate information to support pricing and purchasing decisions.
9 mm, 3 mm and 1 mm XRF Spot Sizes
The Vanta GX-LTS provides three analysis spot sizes:
9 mm Standard Spot
Designed for routine measurements where a larger, representative area of the sample can be analyzed.
3 mm Small Spot
Provides more targeted analysis of smaller jewelry components and features.
1 mm Fine Spot
Provides highly localized XRF analysis when the measurement needs to be confined to a very small area.
The analyzer's built-in camera helps the operator position the desired portion of the sample within the selected analysis area. Evident's interface displays the measurement area directly over the camera image for positioning and documentation.
High-Throughput Precious Metal Analysis
The Vanta GX-LTS is designed for businesses performing larger numbers of precious-metal measurements.
Evident positions the GX-LTS as providing shorter test times for more tests per day, compared with the standard GX-LT. Its 4-watt excitation source provides significantly greater X-ray tube capability than the 2-watt source used by the GX-LT.
For high-volume gold buyers, jewelry businesses, pawn operations, and precious-metal testing environments, faster measurements can help reduce the amount of time required to evaluate incoming material.
Detect Gold Plating and Potential Fakes
The Vanta GX can provide a gold plating alert to help identify plated jewelry and other items that may not be solid precious metal.
Operators receive elemental chemistry directly from the analyzer rather than relying solely on visual inspection or traditional acid scratch testing. The Vanta GX can also detect hazardous elements such as lead and cadmium in jewelry.
Nondestructive XRF Testing
XRF analysis enables valuable items to be tested without cutting, scratching, dissolving, or otherwise damaging them.
Place the item inside the Vanta GX-LTS sample chamber, close the lid, select the appropriate analysis spot, and initiate the measurement. Results are displayed directly on the integrated touchscreen.
No routine sample preparation or acid handling is required.
Designed for Jewelry Stores, Pawn Shops and Precious Metal Buyers
The compact Vanta GX platform is designed to integrate into customer-facing showroom and shop environments.
Results can be viewed directly on the analyzer or presented on a larger display when discussing a measurement with a customer. The built-in camera can pair an image of the tested item with its analytical results, while automated data transfer supports reporting and documentation.
Enclosed XRF Safety System
The Vanta GX-LTS performs XRF measurements within an enclosed and shielded sample chamber.
The analyzer is designed to emit X-rays only when the lid is closed. Bright safety lights on the front and rear indicate when X-rays are being generated, while an X-ray shielding glass window enables continuous viewing of the item during analysis.
