Description

The Evident Vanta GX-LTS is a premium benchtop XRF analyzer designed for fast, high-precision analysis of gold, jewelry, silver, platinum, palladium, coins, and other precious metals. Featuring a powerful 4-watt X-ray tube, high-resolution silicon drift detector (SDD), and selectable 9 mm, 3 mm, and 1 mm analysis spots, the Vanta GX-LTS is designed for high-throughput precious metal testing and the analysis of small and complex jewelry.

The GX-LTS provides fast, nondestructive elemental analysis without damaging valuable items. Determine precious metal composition and purity, obtain gold karat results, identify gold plating, and screen jewelry for hazardous elements—all from an enclosed benchtop XRF designed for everyday commercial use.

Built for High-Performance Precious Metal Analysis

The Vanta GX-LTS is the premium configuration in Evident's current Vanta GX series. It combines a thermoelectrically cooled high-resolution SDD with a 4-watt tungsten-anode X-ray tube operating up to 40 kV and 200 µA.

Evident positions the GX-LTS for high precision, shorter test times, higher testing throughput, and reliable analysis of complex jewelry.

9 mm, 3 mm & 1 mm XRF Spot Sizes

One of the most important capabilities of the Vanta GX-LTS is its three selectable XRF analysis spot sizes.

9 mm Standard Spot — Ideal for routine analysis of larger and relatively homogeneous precious-metal items.

3 mm Small Spot — Provides more targeted analysis of smaller jewelry components and features.

1 mm Fine Spot — Enables highly localized measurements of very small areas where a larger XRF spot could overlap adjacent materials.

The built-in camera helps operators position the desired area of the sample within the selected measurement spot. This is particularly valuable when analyzing complex jewelry, small components, and items containing multiple materials within a confined area. Evident's brochure illustrates the 9 mm, 3 mm, and 1 mm measurement areas through the GX-LTS camera interface.

Vanta GX-LTS Applications

Gold & Jewelry Testing

Quickly analyze gold rings, necklaces, bracelets, watches, scrap gold, and other jewelry to determine elemental composition and precious-metal purity.

Gold karat information is displayed directly on the analyzer, providing immediate information that can support purchasing, selling, and valuation decisions.

Complex & Small Jewelry

The GX-LTS is particularly well suited for businesses that regularly encounter small or complex jewelry.

Its 3 mm and 1 mm spot sizes allow operators to target smaller measurement areas than the standard 9 mm spot. This provides considerably greater flexibility when an item contains small features or multiple materials located close together.

Evident specifically identifies complex jewelry as an application for the premium GX-LTS configuration.

Pawn Shops & Precious Metal Buyers

For businesses purchasing precious metals directly from customers, fast XRF results can help support purchasing and pricing decisions while the transaction is taking place.

The GX-LTS provides shorter test times for more tests per day, making it particularly attractive to higher-volume precious-metal buyers and pawn operations.

Jewelry Stores

The Vanta GX-LTS can be integrated directly into a jewelry store or showroom.

Results can be presented on the integrated touchscreen or a larger display when explaining results to customers. Images from the analyzer's built-in camera can be paired with test results for documentation.

Coins, Bullion & Precious Metal Valuables

Use the Vanta GX-LTS to nondestructively analyze coins, bullion, and other valuable precious-metal items.

Because XRF does not require scratching, cutting, or dissolving the sample, the original condition of the item can be maintained during testing.

Silver, Platinum & Palladium

The Vanta GX isn't limited to gold. Evident specifies analysis of gold, silver, platinum, palladium, and other precious metals, making the GX-LTS useful for businesses handling a diverse range of precious-metal products.

Gold Plating Detection

The Vanta GX includes a gold plating alert to help identify plated jewelry and other items that may otherwise be mistaken for solid precious metal.

This provides another tool for jewelry stores, pawn shops, and precious-metal buyers evaluating potentially fraudulent or misrepresented items.

Lead & Cadmium Screening

In addition to precious-metal composition, the Vanta GX can detect potentially hazardous elements including lead (Pb) and cadmium (Cd) in jewelry.

Fast, Nondestructive XRF Testing

The Vanta GX-LTS provides elemental analysis without requiring routine sample preparation or acid handling.

Place the item inside the shielded chamber, close the lid, select the appropriate analysis spot, and initiate the measurement. Results appear directly on the integrated touchscreen.

The Vanta GX can detect up to 27 elements, providing elemental chemistry that can be used alongside precious-metal purity and karat information.

Which Vanta GX Model Should You Choose?

Choose the Vanta GX-LTS if you regularly analyze small or complex jewelry, need to isolate small measurement areas, require higher precision, or perform enough XRF testing to benefit from shorter test times and increased throughput.

The Vanta GX-LT is the more economical choice when routine precious-metal analysis with a standard 9 mm measurement spot meets your testing requirements.
