Description
MEMBRIX RF® FilmVelopes® provide a clean, convenient solution for applying thin film to XRF sample cups. Each FilmVelope uses a specialty jacket to securely hold 3.0 µm (0.12 mil) MEMBRIX RF film in place, reducing direct handling of the film and simplifying XRF sample preparation.
FilmVelopes help eliminate problems associated with thin-film static and hold the film taut while positioned over the sample cup. The film releases cleanly during application without the traditional tear-away process, reducing the risk of tearing or separating the film and helping provide consistent, reproducible sample preparation.
MEMBRIX RF® XRF Film
MEMBRIX RF is designed for demanding XRF applications and offers excellent resistance to petroleum distillates. According to the manufacturer, MEMBRIX RF outperforms Mylar® and polypropylene in resistance to petroleum distillates and contains zero ppm S, Ca, Si, and P.
This makes MEMBRIX RF an excellent thin-film option for XRF analysis where film composition and chemical resistance are important considerations.
MEMBRIX RF is also a replacement option for discontinued Chemplex Etnom® XRF film, providing laboratories and XRF users with a current thin-film solution for applications that previously used Etnom film.
