Description
This glass certified reference material is designed for XRF analysis of glass and provides a silica-rich glass matrix with both major and trace elements for instrument verification, method development, calibration checks, and training.
The glass matrix is a soda-lime glass and contains approximately 70.8% SiO₂ with Al₂O₃, CaO, K₂O, MgO, and Na₂O. It also contains a broad range of trace elements useful for evaluating XRF performance in glass applications.
Certified Elements
Al, As, Ba, Ca, Cd, Ce, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, K, Mg, Mn, Mo, Na, Ni, Pb, Sb, Si, Sn, Sr, Ti, V, Zn, and Zr.
Of particular interest for glass analysis are Fe, Cu, Co, Sb, Mn, Sr, and Zr, making this material useful for evaluating both major glass-forming components and lower-concentration elements.
The CRM is supplied as a solid glass disc approximately 38 mm in diameter and 4 mm thick, providing a convenient, homogeneous sample for benchtop and handheld XRF analysis.
